Pairing & Compatibility Guide
Echo Water Products: Pairing Guide
Echo Water’s Echo RO™, Echo Flow, Echo H2, and Echo Ultimate deliver purified and hydrogen-enriched water through complementary pairings. Explore their functions, ideal pairings, faucet requirements, and filtration needs below.
Product Overview
Product | Function | Best Use | Faucet? | Filtration |
---|---|---|---|---|
Echo RO™ | 4-stage tankless reverse osmosis removes 99% of contaminants, including lead, fluoride, chlorine, and bacteria. | High-contaminant tap or well water requiring thorough purification. | Yes (air gap or standard faucet). | Built-in: Spun PP, Carbon Block, RO Membrane, Post Carbon (replace every 3-6 months for pre-filters, 2-3 years for membrane). |
Echo Flow | Filterless hydrogen generator infuses up to 1.21 ppm molecular hydrogen for antioxidant benefits, without altering pH. | Post-filtration for hydrogen-enriched drinking water, compatible with multiple endpoints. | Yes (Echo or third-party faucet). | Requires external filtration (e.g., Echo RO or whole-house system, minimum 10 psi). |
Echo H2 | Convertible ionizer produces hydrogen-infused water (up to 1 ppm) and filtered water with adjustable pH (4.5-10). | Moderate tap water quality, ideal for countertop use or under-sink with proper setup. | Under-sink: Yes; Countertop: No (uses built-in dispenser). | Basic built-in filter; external filtration (e.g., Echo RO) enhances contaminant removal. |
Echo Ultimate | Convertible ionizer produces four water types: hydrogen-infused (1 ppm), alkaline, acidic, and filtered. | Versatile needs like drinking, cleaning, or skincare; suitable for countertop or under-sink. | Under-sink: Yes; Countertop: No (uses built-in dispenser). | Basic built-in filter; external filtration improves purity for high-contaminant water. |
Pairing & Complementary Roles
- Echo RO + Echo Flow: The Echo RO purifies water to remove 99% of contaminants, providing a clean base for the Echo Flow to infuse up to 1.21 ppm hydrogen. Ideal for drinking, cooking, or supplying refrigerators and ice makers via a single system.
- Echo RO + Echo H2/Ultimate: The Echo RO ensures ultra-pure water, which the Echo H2 or Ultimate enhances with hydrogen infusion or pH adjustment (alkaline for drinking, acidic for cleaning). This pairing maximizes purity and functionality.
- Echo Flow + Whole-House Filter: A whole-house filtration system removes sediment and major contaminants, allowing the Echo Flow to add hydrogen without needing the Echo RO. Suitable for homes with pre-existing filtration.
- Echo H2/Ultimate Standalone: For countertop use with moderately clean tap water, the H2 or Ultimate provides hydrogen-infused or pH-adjusted water using their built-in filters. Pairing with the Echo RO is recommended for high-contaminant water to ensure purity.
- Multi-Endpoint Integration: When paired with the Echo RO or a whole-house filter, the Echo Flow can distribute hydrogen-enriched water to multiple points, such as kitchen faucets, refrigerators, or ice makers, serving as a household water hub.
Faucet Requirements
- Echo RO/Flow: Requires a secondary faucet (available in Stainless, Chrome, Oiled Bronze, or Matte Black) for under-sink dispensing. Installation needs a 15/16 to 1-inch countertop hole. Air gap faucets may be required by local plumbing codes to prevent backflow.
- Echo H2/Ultimate: Under-sink installations need a secondary faucet to dispense hydrogen or specialty water types. Countertop units use a built-in dispenser, eliminating the need for a separate faucet.
- Third-Party Faucets: Compatible with Echo RO and Flow systems but require professional installation to maintain certifications and ensure proper flow (minimum 10 psi for Flow).
Filtration: Echo vs. External
- Echo RO: Essential for water with high levels of contaminants (e.g., lead, fluoride, arsenic, or bacteria). Its 4-stage filtration (Spun PP for sediment, Carbon Block for chlorine, RO Membrane for dissolved solids, Post Carbon for taste) ensures ultra-pure water before hydrogen infusion or pH adjustment.
- External Filter: Use a whole-house or existing RO system with the Echo Flow, H2, or Ultimate if it effectively removes sediment, chlorine, and major contaminants. The Echo Flow requires a minimum input pressure of 10 psi. For well water with large particles, add a sediment pre-filter before any Echo product.
- Maintenance: Echo RO filters need regular replacement: Spun PP, Carbon Block, and Post Carbon every 3-6 months (depending on water quality), and the RO membrane every 2-3 years. External filter maintenance follows the manufacturer’s schedule, typically 6-12 months for pre-filters and 1-2 years for RO membranes.
